10K / 5K Twilight Trail Series
The Twilight Trail Series (TTS) is a new fall series of 10K / 5K races, one per month, each taking place just before sunset, each benefiting a different local non-profit organization, and all taking place on little to no pavement.
You can choose to do one, two, OR all three races in the series. Each race will have its own top finisher awards by category; but we will also utilize a points system to award our top series finishers after the final race.

Twilight Trail Series #1 - Leopold's Nature Preserve
Haymarket, Va
Some of the most pristinely maintained trails you will find.The race that started it all for us; this will be our 7th year at the Aldo Leopold Nature Preserve which parallel's our namesake, the North Fork Broad Run. This course takes you through wooded cover, grassy plains, past wetlands and ponds that so many native species call home.

Twilight Trail Series #2 - Conway Robinson State Forest
Gainesville, Va
We continue our series by taking you around the perimeter trails of the largest tract of undeveloped land owned by the Commonwealth in all of Northern Virginia. Just off I-66 and next to Manassas Battlefield National Park, Conway Robinson's 444 acres make it one of the most accessible trail systems in NoVA, yet the trails are secluded and mostly shaded by massive pines with some decent elevation change and streams giving you options to cross by both bridge and by foot.

Twilight Trail Series #3 - Whitney State Forest
Warrenton, Va
300+ ft. of elevation changes and 5+ stream crossings... Leaving the most challenging / adventurous course for last. Hidden away in the quiet southern end of Warrenton are 148 acres of preserved forest including 4.5+ miles of intersecting trails through rolling hills and multiple creek/stream crossings from the forks of the Great Run.
